Lenora my new makie

Hi everyone. =D

Yesterday at 6:28pm my first makie arrived. I am over the moon delighted with her but TBH I was a little shocked at how ghastly pale she is, so I've decided she will be a ghost for now. I've named her Lenora. Hope you like her.

the white is a bit stark isn't it? I opted to make my ghost boy strawberry and then blushed him with grey, so he's pale but not stark white. Some blushing might help colour her slightly if you so desired.
As I said on flickr, she is a cutie! she looks like a porcelain doll!

I think purple_monkfish is right, a little light blushing with the right colors and shades, would give her a less ghostly appearance.

I love those black eyes too, although I suspect they may be a part of the reason she seems so pale and ghostlike to you.

They are perfect eyes for a little ghost girl, though! ^_^

With her beautiful pale skin, and her dark eyes and hair, she would make a lovely Japanese Maiko or Geisha, as well.

@ purple monkfish - Yes! A little too white. She would of been perfect the next colour selection. I didn't know white meant otherworldly white but a Caucasian white - oh well. The good thing is I love dark themed dolls anyway so I'm not truly disappointed but would of preferred a tint of colour. I have done just that, thank you, she now has a teeny bit of blush And thanks so much for all the lovely compliments!

@JRU - Thank you! I am terribly afraid of ruining her since I'm no artist, so I've added just the slightest ( almost unnoticeable) bit of blush to her. I think I will just order another one of her in the correct colour cause the thought of twins is exciting to me, but my pockets are empty atm so that will have to wait. I do like the thought of her being a geisha too, I think Asain looking dolls are one of the prettiest so I could lean towards that as well. Hmm, decisions, decisions.

Agreeing with all the comments, but she is still lovely and unique to you which is what is important.  As her character shows itself to you I am sure you will grow to love her colour combination, especially with the dark hair and eyes.

@miss read- She is my fav doll from my entire doll collection and it's not cause she's new. Most of my other dolls once they arrive home I put them on a shelf or in a box and kinda forget about them unless I'm going to make them some clothes, but with her, she is by my side - haha. Kinda embarrassing to admit that, but I can't stop staring at her. And I totally agree, I know my love for her will only deepen.

She is so cool.  I love the contrast of the bright white and super dark hair and eyes.

I've got a soft spot for white dolls (my avatar picture is a faceupped white doll).
She's a cutie for sure! I have a couple of Little Apple dolls from 'the inbetween' (just the basic ones - not the featured art doll versions). Maybe they're a similar vibe to your ghost girl and good for ideas..?
Anyway, I think she'll be a fabulous ghost. Good theme!! <3
