Attaching photos (solved)
So, I'm not sure where this should go - But I've noticed that it seems quite complicated to attach photos in this forum. It may just be my stupidity but I thought it'd be useful if someone could instruct as to the best way to do this! I know people loved attaching photos in the makie forums and it'd be a shame for it to be complicated to do so here.

Ok, from what I understand, you take the imge url (you need to host it elsewhere. If using flickr it is an absolute PAIN because you have to dig out from their "link url" all the rubbish just to find the .jpg bit.)
Photobucket is a good option for nice clean urls.
Take that url, copy/paste.
[ these square brackets ] will surround the word "img" and likewise /img (or you can click the square button on the dashboard above this bit you're typing in (the bit with all the bold, italics etc stuff). You want the square box in the youtube section.
Paste the image into the url section.
Size, ignore unless your image is MASSIVE. Even then, it doesn't seem to have relative sizing so if you change even only one of the things, it will distort any image that isn't perfectly square. Annoying.
The chain next to that will give you a clickable link (paste the link into the section that says url and a word like "click here" into description to get a link.
I'll look to see if there's another way.

AHAH!
ok, if you click the button before the photo button (the square with the disk in front) that opens up a prompt to "host" an image off your hard drive. It'll then give you a link, copy and paste the "img url" link and then use the next button (the photo button) to insert the image.
The advantage of this is that the host button will resize your image for you, just keep it at the default 800px for forums or smaller and it should be fine.

YAY! I used it too, saved me the hassle of having to resize stuff from my blog or tumblr's stupid system. eugh.
Re: Attaching photos (solved)
If you're posting from mobile, I found that if the url from photobucket is too long, Google has a url shortener that works.
