Making wings?

So I want to make wings for my makie and so now I am trying to think of ways to do this. I was thinking about have the be attached my magnets but that as far as I have thought of. I am just wondering if any of you have great ideas about how to do this?

Ooo magnets could work, or how you'd do cosplay ones, little hoops around the arms hidden under clothing haha.
What sort of wings? fairy? bird? dragon? You'll probably want to start with wire to do the main structure but it entirely depends on what kinda thing you're going for. Sometimes you can repurpose bits and bobs heh, I have a few sets of wings here which are made of like.. plastic? like the stuff they use for packaging. They came sewn to some cheap clone doll's clothing, I cut em off and made little clear elastic loops so they could be worn by a Makie. heheh. Like party fairy wings.

Yeah I am thinking about butterfly or some sort of insect because she is supposed to be like the fairies from Strange Magic.(my newest guilty craze.) Yeah I was thinking about using wire to get the look of how some wings have vains you can see. I am trying to think of a way they can be somewhat see through.
