No extra body parts anymore?

Have they stopped selling extra hands and such?

They're redesigning the hands. Last I checked, I could still find the feet when I looked under the "everything" category.

hands are in the shop, you have to search "hands" and they show up.
limited time only though sadly.

Might be an idea to get some spare regular hands if they're not manufacturing them anymore.

I'm umming and ahhing about hands too. A few people on the facebook fan group bought sets and are splitting them but so far only caramel and strawberry. I'm not sure I can justify the expense of cocoa or white hands right now, though I do need grippy hands for like.. everyone.

Yeah, I thought they didn't want us buying them, but I don't want to miss the hands for following directions!

@P_M Haha I know! I've been wanting some ever since I bought my first Makie anyway, and given what Sioux said on Instagram, I'm pretty worried this is the last chance ever (it didn't sound like there were plans for new versions of the hand packs?).

No point in having invested my skills and money in creating my dolls to the level I have so far, and then just leave them without gesturing hands to complete the look. I'll really only regret it later. I mean people spend far far more on BJDs anyway, I think I can stomach it this one time.

I bought one strawberry milk set and one cocoa bean set, that's all I could justify. I actually only want a few of pairs from them, so I'd be happy to part with others if someone else wants them.

In fact I might as well state I'd be happy to part with Kawaii and A-Okay strawberry milk hands, if anyone is looking for those (I think that's what they're called, assuming that the shop is labeled correctly left-to-right). I'm not decided about the cocoa bean ones though, Aurella is a gestural person, she might want all of them. I imagine the pair I least want of cocoa bean is the Slot hands.

@jupiternames At this point I'm very confused. But I notice that the hand packs are showing all colours now, which they didn't before, so I assume they completed their inventory count? Plus... considering they're showing up when searching for hands, I assumed they were publicly available again. Either way, I'm afraid my order is done now! Hopefully, if they weren't actually ready for it then it won't be too inconvenient for them...

From Jen on facebook. "Folks! To help you guys get your 3DP hands, we've put the Jazzy and Handy hand packs back in the store, print on demand (so if we don't have stock, there's a 2 week wait). Search the store for 'hands' and go nuts. They'll only be there until we switch to IM bodies, and still no date for that yet, but when it gets clear I'll let you know."

So, you won't be breaking any rules. :-)

Hooray, thanks for the info!  That makes me feel better about ordering. I know the poor folks at the lab must be super overworked at the moment.

I'm glad I did the order then. I would have liked to get both hand packs in both strawberry and cocoa, but I'm happy with the selection I made. XD (My bank account is happier with just two packs rather than four as well)

Nattherat, which packs did you pick?

I got a strawberry milk Jazzy Hands bundle (for Elisabeth), and a cocoa bean Handy Hands bundle (for Aurella).
It's a shame not to get grippy hands for Elisabeth, but yeah, even two packs is more than I should have ordered, so I can't get a Handy Hands pack for Elisabeth as well. XD

I ordered the Handy Hands bundle in white and strawberry milk. It would have been nice to have the Jazzy hands and a second pack of strawberry milk Handy Hands for Robin too but feel like I've already spent too much in such a short amount of time. Sage and Robin will just have to share one pack of Hands.

I'm going to buy cocoa and white hands (all action hands), but I'm really thinking about picking up some strawberry hands. I have five already, but I'd really like the full eight. Basically, I still need the ballet hands and a right-handed point hand in strawberry. If I buy the strawberry pack, I'd be willing to trade slot and grip hands. It'd be a lot of money, but I'm looking at potential regret here!

I believe the hands in the Jazzy pack are like this:

Pinkie extended--evil genius
Index and middle finger making rabbit ears--Kawaii
Index finger and thumb making a circle--A-OK
Index finger and pinkie pointing up with thumb meeting the middle and ring finger--Rock God

I must say, I've never bought this pack, though I've always thought it'd be fun to have one of the evil genius and kawaii hands for my girls to be able to play rock-paper-scissors. Maybe someone else will take that photo some day.

that sounds fun jupiter heh. I've managed to snag a few sets from people splitting packs, I just need a cocoa grip and then white grips, all the white grips hahah.
I can't decide if my new two need hands or not, but I know the one coming after them DOES because otherwise he won't be able to hold his sword or gun heh.

But yeah... expensive. Particularly if you only really want/need one or two hands out of a bundle of 8. They aren't crucial for me, just fun.

I currently only have one gesture hand, a strawberry pointy hand Vicky came with. I swapped it out with Harris last night hah, he can now use his tablet and Vicky looks less accusing.

Yep, the hands seem like they'd be excellent but I can't justify buying a whole set of them. My Makies are different colours (one strawberry milk, one cocoa, and two caramels once "BlushNano" arrives) so like who would get new hands and who would feel left out! Also I'd worry about accidentally breaking the doll getting the hands on/off, even though I know that's meant to be done so it'd be fine I assume.

Hi guys. I'm going to have a strawberry, caramel and coco make. 

I really don't have the money for much  but was thinking of getting a spare pair of hands and feet in white just in case I lose one. What do you think the odds of me being able to match the colour ( or close)  with home dye are?

Maybe Makie Labs could somehow make 3D printed body part patterns(?), programs(?), available that we could purchase and download.
That way those who had access to a 3D printer could print out the hands they needed as well as replacement parts for their 3D printed Makies!

They have or had some 3D items that you could download and make on a 3D printer, I think one was a crown wasn't it?

Then they would even be able to offer new hand bundles and things that you could purchase and download to print for your 3D Makies! ^_^

Uh oh. Hadley lost one of her hands and I desperately need to buy her a new one, it seems!

Which color do you need legendarynarwhal? I have all of the caramel hands and would be willing to part with one.
