Aya is here!
Aya arrived on Wednesday at 7 PM. I had no idea that DHL delivers in the evening, but I'm glad they do!
Aya fresh out of the tube:
Close-up of her cute face:
Look, over there!
Rock on!
Dreamy
This suits her so well!
For colder days:
And without the poncho:
She found an old cellphone and tries it out
Going to a party:
Modeling a thrift shop wedding dress:
Trying on some of Ken's old boots (they didn't want to let go of her feet, I think they might be cursed...)
Picking her nose in her pj's
I'm very happy about how she turned out, she's so pretty! I think I like the curly wig the most on her. The extra wigs I ordered (the curly and the purple one) came glued to their own skull plates, which makes changing them very easy. I asked them not to glue on her default wig, so I had to adjust it quite often. Her clothes are either Makie or stolen Barbie and Ken outfits

eee she's so cute! Did you get her feet out of the ken boots? I cannot get a pair of feet out of one set lol. I think im gonna have to heat them up, they refuse to let go.
Re: Aya is here!
Thank you! Yes, I got the feet out after cutting the boots open. They're not ruined, but I won't let her wear them anymore...Purple_Monkfish wrote:eee she's so cute! She is cute, and I do like the curly wig on her. Also LOVE her top with the flared wrists. Whose was it?

That's one of my favorites too! It's an old Barbie top, probably 10 years oldMissRead wrote:She is cute, and I do like the curly wig on her. Also LOVE her top with the flared wrists. Whose was it?

She is sweet! And spoiled already. I love the nose picking picture, so funny.

Re: Aya is here!
I bought some Barbie clothes for Aya. I think that the quality of those has dramatically decreased since I was a kid The denim vest and the pink skirt are made out of some horrible plastic fabric. The set also came with very flimsy shoes that looked like they'd break after one use. The Barbie shoes I used to have were all made of hard plastic and didn't break so easily. I also feel like there used to be nicer designs 10 years ago. The pink skirt was originally some sort of dress that looked more like an apron and didn't fit her, so I cut off the top part. I'm glad that everything fits her though
Re: Aya is here!
She's especially cute in the "Pink" outfit! I know what you mean about Barbie clothes, though. I hate to buy a cute dress or top with ruffles or a print, only to take it out of the package and find that the back is completely flat, solid-color cloth. I don't think they did that when I was little! It looks like you've made Aya's clothes look really nice, though.

Re: Aya is here!
Thanks, both of you! I love how the Makie accessories match the Barbie clothes I'm not a big fan of pink, but it does suit her very well and she loves it!
Re: Aya is here!
I think you are probably right, Barbie clothes have got 'cheaper' over the last few years, and definitely since I was a child! Although my husband thinks I am still only about 8 years old!
She looks great in them though.
