YouTube Wig Tutorials
After much perusing of YouTube, I finally found what I was looking for!
Nicolle's Dreams has an excellent tutorial for alpaca hair wigs, and how to create an ombré look.

Unfortunately she doesn't show how to attach said hair. She does show how to make the skullcap to attach the hair to.
But! Anastazia Custom does! Though they don't speak throughout the videos. It seems easy enough. It's mostly just patiently gluing small sections with white tack glue.

Bearded Doll took another approach and used human hair extensions (weaves?) and a glue gun to glue the hair to the skull cap he creates. I personally love this one because, since it's real hair, you can worry less about curling it!

So! I have decided I want to make a long alpaca wig so I can make it fantasy colors, and see if I can get some extensions so I can dye them with henna or similar to turn them reddish orange
