Introducing Robin!
Well I'm delighted with how she turned out. This is her digital self:
This is her upon arrival. So much prettier and more delicate than I'd expected!
She changed into something more comfortable:
Then ran outside and climbed a tree:
Here she is meeting my clown marionette Alphonse ( she called him 'Alfie' right away, he was amused.)
Hes a nice guy... If a little... High Strung. Hehehe!
Anyway I'm delighted with her, she's quite the character! I can't wait to start making clothes for her! And just as soon as they have another sale she's getting a brother!

Re: Introducing Robin!
So today she got a new outfit. (I used Purple Monkfish's excellent skirt pattern from the other thread but had no elastic so I used the purple ribbon she came with instead.) I also did my FIRST EVER FACEUP. I didn't want her to look alike she has makeup on so hopefully its very subtle. Freckling across the nose and cheeks. Darker eyebrows and some contouring around the eyes.

Re: Introducing Robin!
Spoiled Rotten! I'm enthusiastic but not very proficient! ;-) I have scraps of fabric everywhere and they're just so tempting. This is an attempted sundress. Its a bit wonky but the fabric was so cute. I should probably get a sewing machine.
She's waiting for new, properly made clothes. I ordered a very cute Blythe outfit from Etsy. I hope it fits.

Re: Introducing Robin!
She's just so adorable!
Did you use anything to seal/varnish, if you don't mind me asking? She has a really interesting texture/sheen to her face, but since my makies came with no face-up, and I flatted them with MSC very early on, I don't really remember what the normal sheen is already. In the close-up photo, it makes her skin look a lot like actual skin!

Re: Introducing Robin!
Thank you! I used MSC, but the first photos were taken before it was fully dry I think. She's a lot more matte now.

Seconded! It's great that you were able to find such a small print for the backpack.

Re: Introducing Robin!
She has a really cute face! What kind of skin color is she? Is it the lightest strawberry milk shade, or the darker shade?

Re: Introducing Robin!
Thanks guys! I'll upload more photos of her current incarnation ( different wig , eyes and clothes) when her brother and cousin arrive. She's Strawberry Milkshake but I think she's a pretty pale version. I painted quite a lot of freckles onto her nose/ cheek area so she has a caramel look to her face.

Re: Introducing Robin!
Thanks for the answer! She's super cute. I love her thin lips and natural look. It's not something we see often.Almostreal wrote:Thanks guys! She looks great! What size overalls did you buy? They look brilliant on her.
