Share your knitting and crochet patterns here.

I'll be copy/pasting what I find in the Makies old forum here as well.

Purple_Monkfish, I'll admit that knitting in the round takes some getting used to, but I love knitting socks, and I hate seaming on doll clothes - so in the round it is Wink However, to start out knitting, start with scarves! Best in garter stitch, easy, like every manual hobby, it takes getting used to. These little overalls knit up so fast, drop me a message with your address and I might just send you a letter during my vacation Wink (However, I do not have this particular yarn anymore, so, preferred colourscheme...?)

Jupiternames, thank you Smile It is the first time she is showing off the new wig, too. I bought it originally for an Ellowyne doll, but is does not fit. Very tight fit on the Makie, too, without a wig cap, it slides away ^^"

Aww you're sweet. I have made scarves, but sadly as soon as I put down the needles my brain goes "yep, let's erase that skill you just learned" so I then have to relearn to knit every time I pick up any wool. It's so infuriating. I'd have to stick at it a looong time to get it to go into muscle memory because my regular memory is rubbish and doesn't like to hang onto anything useful for long. Oh it'll absorb song lyrics and poems like a sponge, but actual useful stuff like how to do maths? Numbers? people's names? heck no. Stupid Dyspraxia.
I tried to work out how to knit in the round the other day, youtube videos just confused me more lol. Ahh well. I'd like to be able to knit hats, Ig loves hats so it'd be nice to be able to do it but i think it's gonna take a while.

Oo what size is the wig do you think? I have 6-7 ones on two of mine that fit great without a cap, but I find some of the official Makie ones are slightly too big and slide off. (go figure) and the fur ones won't stay on unless you glue em.
I ended up glueing down all my wigs lol. I don't change them once i've settled on one, so it helped save the "damnit the wig came off again" situations heheh.
It's a very cute wig though, I love how short it is, there's something very 1920s flapper about that style to me.

Ooo, p_m, what do you use to glue the wig down? I've been considering doing that to Pepper.

Just tacky glue, it tends to come unstuck after a while but it means I can still pry the wig off again later if I want to.
